Weekly Highlights: May 6-12

Congratulations to our First Communicants who received the sacrament today - what a blessing it always is for our parish and school at this time of year.  We pray for all of them and their families that they may always find joy in the Eucharist.

THANK YOU

  • to the Kindergarten and Grade 7 classes, and the staff members involved, for leading us in a beautiful Crowning of Mary ceremony last Wednesday.  What a fitting way to begin the month of May with that tribute to Our Lady.

  • to all who were involved in the preparation for and celebration of First Holy Communion - families of the communicants, staff members and other parent helpers.

INFORMATION

  • We will not have a school-led Sunday Mass this month

REMINDERS

MONDAY

  • SJB Track Meet for those who were selected to attend (you would have received a permission slip already if your child is attending)

  • our buses after school MAY run 10 minutes late today if the students are delayed returning from the track meet - we will keep you informed closer to dismissal time

  • NO Track Practice today

TUESDAY

  •  Grade 4/5 boys basketball game here at St. Mary's vs. Strathcona - spectators welcome!

WEDNESDAY

  • Mass  - Grades 1 - 7, 9:00 a.m.  All families welcome!

  • Hot lunch - pizza

  • 2:45 p.m.Grade 4/5 girls basketball game at Central Elementary  (9435 Young Road, parking off College St.)

THURSDAY

  • 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. - Track Practice

    • please wait in front of the gym to pick up your child, rather than going out to the field.
